About This Site
This site covers one city only: Évora, inland capital of the Alentejo and a UNESCO World Heritage city since 1986. It compares 42 bookable tours in six categories, from free walking tours to day trips from Lisbon, plus practical visitor facts.
The Editorial Desk
The site is written by a small editorial desk with no byline and no single author. Nobody here claims to have taken the tours listed, and no page carries a personal anecdote dressed up as research. Instead, every claim is attributed: opening hours come from the cathedral's own site, climate figures from the IPMA 1991-2020 normals for the Évora station, and tour ratings, review counts and from-prices from each operator's live listing. The desk's job is comparison and reporting, not memoir.
How The Figures Are Checked
Every rating, review count and from-price printed on this site is the operator listing's own published figure, taken from the live booking page rather than estimated or rounded. Ticket prices for the Sé, the Capela dos Ossos and the Museu de Évora come from the official pages of those monuments. Where a figure cannot be confirmed against a primary source, such as the Convento dos Lóios entry fee, which is temporarily unavailable on the official page, it is simply left out. Nothing is invented to fill a gap.
How This Site Earns
The site earns through affiliate links. When a reader books a tour through a listing on these pages, the booking platform pays the site a fee at no extra cost to the reader. The same arrangement covers stays, car hire, airport transfers, bus and train tickets, luggage storage, eSIM data plans, flights and audio tours. The full detail sits on the disclosure page.
What Gets Left Out Here
No invented figures: if a number is not sourced, it does not appear. No fake scarcity, no countdown timers, no claims that a tour is almost sold out. No paid placement: tours are ordered by usefulness, not by fee. No first-person claim the desk cannot honestly make, since nobody here writes as a visitor. And no proprietary study the desk did not run: the numbers come from operators, official sites and the IPMA climate record.
